Procurement Power Tools For Women

As business owners, especially women who wear numerous hats, the world of procurment can be daunting.  This seminar will provide important information relative to understanding the procurement process, developing a working knowledge of contract management, explore time management tools and review some key website tools to assist women business owners.

OUR SPEAKERS

Jackie Rule is a Procurement Specialist and Certified Business Analyst for PTAC.  She has 20 years of procurement and training experience including staff management, procedure development and contract administration. She is a strong negotiator, a successful motivator within diverse cultures, and a professionally trained instructor for adult learners, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Professional Affiliations: 1985 Gold Coast Chapter/Institute of Supply Management, 2002 Member of National Contract Management Association, & 2005 Member of American Society of Training & Development. 

Carole Hart is Procurement Specialist and Certified Business Analyst for PTAC. She has 25 years of experience in the aerospace procurement industry and as a subcontracts manager, where she worked with commercial airline suppliers and major subcontractors for commercial and federally let contracts. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Barry University and a master's degree in counseling from the New York Institute of Technology. Hart, who specializes in government procurement and contracting, is currently responsible for training and one-on-one counseling, at the Palm Beach Community College Small Business Development Center.  Professional Affiliations: Association of Small Business Development Centers, Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, National Contracts Management Association, Society Human Resource Management, & American Society for Training and Development.

 

ABOUT THE CIRCLE

The Women’s Business Mentoring Circle provides a forum for learning and connecting with other women business owners. Each meeting consists of 30 minutes of open networking, a 30 minute keynote speaker (including time for questions) and 1 hour of focused, break-out mentoring in smaller groups. During the breakout, the small groups discuss various business concerns and focus on those issues that are blocking success.  Participants provide guidance, ideas and feedback to each other and help in the development of skills, techniques and perspectives.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND 

This event is for all women business owners who want to teach as well as learn from others. You are welcome at any point in your entrepreneurial journey – whether it be as a seasoned business owner or a new start-up.
