Protect your rights and avoid costly lawsuits.  This course provides participants an opportunity to explore the legalities associated with a successful business.   Bring your questions, the instructor will address common problems that small companies run into, how to prevent them, and when (and how) to obtain expert legal advice. Topics covered will include: Considerations for setting up your legal business structure, the importance of registering your business in the jurisdiction where you have your office, how to protect yourself from liability, the importance of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), and contracts – negotiating, drafting, and enforcing & other issues associated with contracts and employer/employee obligations.

The best place to park is in the City Garage directly on the east side of the Library. There is a covered walkway connecting the garage and the Library. Parking is $1 per hour.

CLASS IS LOCATED ON THE 6TH FLOOR.  In the Bienes conference room next to the gallery.
