The Boomer Entrepreneur Initiative is a business development program for retired or soon to be retiring boomers. We offer a variety of business support services to help your business grow. Owning and managing a business can be challenging, especially in these economic times, but with the proper know-how and the right tools you can thrive and prosper. Broward County Baby Boomers who are retired or soon to be retiring who desire to start up a new small business or accelerate the growth of an existing business or want to add a social impact component to their business.
What
The Boomer Entrepreneur Initiative provides valuable business workshops, one-on-one counseling and networking events. Some areas of assistance include: 1-2-3’s of Starting A Business, Social Entrepreneurship, Business Plans, Social Media, Financing, and Marketing. Services are offered free of charge.

Entrepreneurship & Re-engage for Good
Re-engage for Good is an initiative of the Community Foundation of Broward to expand opportunities for retiring boomers to become engaged as vital civic resources in the community. Baby boomers are the largest, healthiest, best educated population of Americans ever to approach retirement.
This program is part of an effort to help find productive encore careers for the coming flood of retiring baby boomers. Many want to find work that has social impact after their primary career ends. Entrepreneurship offers boomers the opportunity for a second career tailored to their interests and social entrepreneurship offers them a way to work towards community improvements and social change.
