Educational Workshops

Training is provided on a variety of business topics to help women become successful business owners. The training program includes classes, workshops, and seminars that present new ideas, practical business skills, fresh perspectives and valuable information.

Educational opportunities offered by FWBC are structured so that current and aspiring women business owners can learn about relevant business topics that include how to start a business, business plan development, securing loans and other debt and equity financing sources, procurement, marketing, business and financial management tools, word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and QuickBooks.  View list of workshops...

Business Incubation 

The FWBC also offers business incubation services to women seeking affordable office space to house their business. This program provides access to the multi-tenant facility and includes a client assessment, strategic plan, implementation plan and evaluation of performance.  Read more...

Technology Center 

Clients of the FWBC also have access to state-of-the-art computer technology and internet access. Workstations with DSL Internet service provide access to Internet research for business planning and the ability to train clients on various business software products. Read more... 

Networking Events

The FWBC provides access to capital to women business owners to assist with forming and expanding their business. Financial services include financial literacy training, a comprehensive feasibility assessment, loan packaging and grant proposal assistance. The Women's Business Center utilizes its expertise and relationships with community partners to help secure funds needed to finance business start-up and expansion activities. Regular networking opportunities by the FWBC provide women business owners with a place to gather and network for mutual support and access to business resources. Read more...
