Delray Beach, Fla. - Jennifer Brin has been named director of the Florida Women’s Business Center (FWBC), a program of the nonprofit Center for Technology, Enterprise & Development, Inc. (the TED Center).

In addition to driving the FWBC’s fundraising directives, Brin will oversee its business training and support programs, marketing and publicity efforts and raise awareness of the FWBC through community outreach initiatives and regional business partnerships. 

“I'm excited to have Jennifer join our team,’’ said Seabron Smith, executive director of the TED Center. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position, and we are planning some very creative things to serve the South Florida small business community.”

Brin’s professional background includes extensive leadership roles in the nonprofit industry, financial budgeting and forecasting, fundraising, event management, educational programming and training, publicity and marketing for outstanding organizations. Her diverse background will facilitate outreach towards South Florida’s multicultural population. 

Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Brin earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in social work from Florida StateUniversity.  She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University.  She has worked with several highly credible nonprofit organizations: Children’s Home Society of Florida, Kids in Distress and Family Service, Inc.  Volunteerism is an important element of Brin’s life as well. She has devoted many hours helping various organizations, including the American Red Cross, Junior League, Ronald McDonald House, United Way, and Zeta Tau Alpha.

Prior to joining the FWBC, Brin worked for two years as director of programs and community services at Family Service, Inc. in Detroit, Mich.
